I went ahead and left them a bad review too. The first one I ever left to any broker. Never did I leave one to any broker, even complete jerks that screwed me over. Yet this childish ######## just pisses me off way to much with this guy

 

The funny thing is the broker's "poor review" of you makes him look like the bad guy. Nobody likes a liar and a lie by omission is still a lie. So this guy covers his #### loads by not telling people who his lousy customers are then gets mad when people give the load back because they don't want to deal with the BS? Hahaha!! Now his company won't work with you? Weird how they actually think they are unique, special and can't easily be replaced... hahahahaha!!

 

Was gonna say pretty much this. When I have a bad shipper, I'm up front about it. My flatbed guys in Houston all know (and love to hate) Womble Pipecoaters. Just about the first words out of my mouth when I have a load is, "Yeah, I know you're gonna hate this, but it's picking up at Womble." Which, sure- I lose about 60% of potential callers right there. "Thanks, man, I'm gonna have to pass," is the most common refrain. But I'm not wasting either of our time, and time is a precious commodity.

 

This! This is the reason I work for me and will for the rest of my life. I can't imagine deceiving people just to 'do your job' and make a living at a brokerage. @PPDCT I'm glad you are up front about it. If only more were.

I have had it happen many times, even good brokers, calling me and offering me their crap. I've got two lately who call me about every day since they know my lanes, offering me two lousy runs that I would never ever take. I feel bad for the new carriers that don't know any better. Sadly they always pitch it like I've forgotten the shipper sucks since the day before.

 

A lot of those pipe yards in Houston suck.

ha! That’s doing it right. I “have to” attend “a conference” this week, in San Diego. I’ll just bet it won’t be -11 like it was here Saturday morning!

 

I know you “hate to go” but “have too”.
