I'm down in Temple about to load steel I think. It's cold and windy. It's misty here but the wind is causing a little ice on the windshield. I've got about 5 hrs left on my 70 so I'll do what I can with the time I have. I'm thinking you'll run into more issues the farther south you get because precip has already begun falling in DFW

@Professor No-Name @mdmgolfin how did the drives go today? I parked in Italy, TX and waited it out some, and I desperately needed hours back. Recaps really suck by the way lol. I went across the street and ate BBQ for lunch. Man was that BBQ beef good too. Did yall have a lot of issues navigating the storm?

I left Big Cabin with 330 miles left. Oklahoma from checotah to savannah was 100% snow covered roads with some ice under it. Was stuck waiting for trucks an cars that couldn't get up the hills between eufala an mcallister. I used up 8.5 hrs to drive 330 miles. It was a dilly of a day. Gotta load at biagis at 8 in morning. It's supposed to deliver 10 AM friday in earth city. I don't see that happening since it's gonna be raining an below freezing again tomorrow in Oklahoma.57 model, mdmgolfin, Lumper Humper and 1 other person Thank this.

Sheesh. I had the thought of rerouting and going into Arkansas and through Poplar Bluff but then I started thinking that north of Little Rock it would have been a worse since it isn't tra election as much. I know I am going to have to try and take some of the mileage off tonight but deciding how much will be the burning question. I had a feeling that stretch between Checotah and McAlester would be an issue. I think it be fine though. I've got 40k worth of steel in the box57 model and Lumper Humper Thank this.

Mmmmmmm.....that sounds so good, especially that combination of sausage and beans.57 model and Lumper Humper Thank this.

Going through Arkansas wouldn't work. All this storm is moving that way. North of checotah may have gotten hit after i came through. The plow trucks i seen weren't very many and they weren't doing anything but putting sand and salt down on bridges, under overpasses, and on the hills. They weren't plowing level straight a ways at all. It was kinda nuts!!57 model, Lumper Humper and bryan21384 Thank this.

She does em up with andujie sausage. Think that's how ya spell it. Splash on some hot sauce and throw in homemade biscuits and I'll eat till I'm miserable.57 model, dwells40, Lumper Humper and 1 other person Thank this.

I had that thought as it moved east bound so I nixed that idea. I figured to stay on 69 since it had heavier truck traffic. That's what's going to be the real snow plows lol. Oklahoma is never prepared for winter weather. They act like it don't snow at all there. Even Texas was out here pretreating the roads late last night. I know once I get to the Missouri line, it'll be 10 times easier to navigate.57 model and Lumper Humper Thank this.
