Yeah I think that's right. I constantly monitor the weather. Sometimes I will try to squeeze a load in if I know I have a ten hour window before it hits the fan. Ten hours is 600 miles. They fckd it up. Was able to get from Texarkana to Waco then down to Katy. It was a little sketchy. I don't F with ice. Dot relies on the NWS service and sometimes it's just wrong. The problem is drivers not knowing when to stop. I think your right. Not arguing by any means. Just one of those things.

They're forecasting more freezing rain and sleet tonight in southern central Oklahoma so things won't get moving until afternoon probably when the temps go up a little. Dallas looks like a big sh-show right now so who knows when that will get cleared up. Going to San Antonio. Might have to sit tomorrow.

Edit: just checked the weather for Dallas and it says up to 1/4" more of ice accumulation through Thursday. If that's the case, then things really won't be moving down I-35. Unless I want to swing out west and go around it, if possible.

I was on i40 past couple days and shut down due to winds and my super light load twice, then the snow came and red marks all over Google map. Late late load.

Told my dispatch, I'm not moving out of Dallas till Fri, no way I'm going to test local hurry uppers during slickish conditions.

I'm heading out from Dallas late tomorrow afternoon to either Wichita or Tulsa, so I'm hoping things will clear up a bit by then. I was out in my personal vehicle a little earlier tonight and the highways were mostly ok, but I know some more precipitation is excepted before morning.

I'm shut down on 287 west of Wichita Falls. The road looks dry but it's a sheet of ice.
