In Buckeye, Az. you take hwy 85 so. to I-8 then east. (you bypass Phoenix.) To get to I-20 you will have to hit El Paso
Ontario to Gainesville I10 or use I20?

Yeah, I suppose it can be. I like it because I like going through small towns if I have the time. There is a pretty nice Love's in McGee also. And the thing is, US 63 will add almost 30 more miles to your trip, and you still have to go through some small towns before you get to I-10.Last edited: Feb 24, 2022

Nah. If you take I-40 to Amarillo and then hit US 287, you don't have to go through all that crap.

I assume you're talking about I-220 across the north side, and I agree with you there.
Don't mess with Bert Kouns, and don't mess with the Inner Loop unless you're going to head south on I-49.gekko1323 Thanks this. -

Except for lots of snow over Flagstaff ! right ?

Well, so far so good. Made it all the way through San Antonio ( that was fun for a moment but got through mid-afternoon so it could have been worse. The construction mainly). No it look as if I am going to hit Houston at 5pm on a Friday. Think this should be fun

Did you go thru Phoenix or down to I-8 from Buckeye, Az?
-
Yes through Phoenix. Breezed right through.

Is actually within 10 miles or less than straight across 10 and in most cases...especially time of day close to 2 hours quicker...20 under DFW much less hassle than traversing The Alamo and the Dome
