The old dirty cop trick. I saw a documentary not long ago about a serial rapist murderer in France. They couldn't catch him for years and years. It ended up being a cop.

 

they know most of the mistakes, the real criminals made and got caught

I'm not sure if I would call this a dirty cop. When I think of dirty cop I'm thinking of someone who uses the policing powers to commit the crime. Be it extortion, assault, murder, or whatever.
This is simply someone that has an extra curricular activity that happens to be stealing stuff.
Now if he was using his position to throw off the investigation or it was his buddies hampering the investigation, that would be examples of being a dirty cop.

 

Do the crime do the time sounds like a criminal masquerading as LE. Wonder what he did that he didn’t get caught in.

Quite the moron really. If he had just stood behind the oath that he took and been a stand up guy. He could have retired early with a nice pension.
