Geez and one of the thief’s owns a trucking company. Black opal trucking. Good work by the police department.

Article said the trailers had been missing for months. WTF?
LtlAnonymous Thanks this. -
Just a guess, but ups or the shipper knew where the trailers were via tracking device and setup surveillance waiting for the crooks to return.dwells40, mjd4277 and LtlAnonymous Thank this.

thats determination. Can’t believe they would let customers packages wait months to capture people.LtlAnonymous Thanks this.

From the article it sounds like a inside job, so may have been a ongoing issue.
Could also have been a decoy.Sirscrapntruckalot and LtlAnonymous Thank this. -
I would imagine insurance would have replaced or refunded all of that long ago. This was just to prevent future mishaps.Sirscrapntruckalot Thanks this.

I am more shocked they went to jail in Atlanta for doing this. You can get away with about anything in that septic tank of a metropolis now.
misterG Thanks this. -
Remember that the woman who was arrested was a former driver for UPS,so she may have attempted to disable the tracking devices on the trailers. Also, since UPS is headquartered in Atlanta they may have friends in high places within APD to get this matter resolved.
This isn’t going to be a simple “catch and release” for the perps-they’re going to prison!
