Man how I don’t miss seniority. -
I appreciate the thoughts. Right now I'm OTR and primarily run the northeast and Midwest with a little bit of southeast once in a while. I've only been at it a few months but so far I've really only had beef with the northeast, and it's mostly due to the lack of parking. Since that's irrelevant with linehaul, is the east coast really that bad? The bit about seniority is important to me though. I would like to be in a place where I could realistically get a daytime run within a couple years.

Anyone knows how teams that live on the west runs? I mean if they’re routed to east and back? Or how does it work?
-
Wild until you get a bid. Can go anywhere. But your only out 5 days too. Unless wanna stay out longer.Otr_tohru Thanks this. -
I wouldn’t say a couple years. Not a ton of day time bids at most places. Could get lucky but not likely. You will go south from Knoxville a lot too. Estes vs OTR your better off at Estes. As long as your ok with nights. Night and day difference in pay.
-
Hub terminals may be the ones with the most of those, since day runs typically consist of through bound freight.
-
Just by chance do you know how they run the teams on the east coast?
-
You run as a team... Anywhere. Team extra board guys make the most money. I think they make like .85 or something. It's just ALOT of terminal on the east.Otr_tohru Thanks this.
-
When I was going to do it they told me they “try” to keep you on longer runs but sometimes that’s just not possible.
Out of my old terminal a father and son went team. Out of Owensboro KY. They did a lot do California and Utah. But sometimes ended up East. They got 5500-6500 mile a weekOtr_tohru Thanks this.
