may save up and get your own authority? I think progressive will still quote you with a DUI. Thats an expensive option but could put you back out on the road if you have some money stashed back.

2,000,000/15=133,333, or 2800 miles a week, far from impossible.

jtrnr I am located out of the jacksonville area. And to the poster wanting to know where and how the dui arrived was wheile I was in a personal vehicle park at a truck stop sleeping in the front seat with the keys in the ignition. they was called because I had a can of beer in the cup holder which was empty and in a dry county.

opps more info that I didnt post about the dui. first let me begine i am from Florida and was traveling in mississippi when i got this dui notice out of state tags on a pick up truck. The courts would not listen to even madd about the defense they was on my side on this one because I choose not to take to the road. I had one of the best trial attorneys in that state and that small town court just would not hear of an outsider getting out of this dui. total cost $10,000 and now cost me my career. It was my bad judgement I know this is why I am searching the small companies that pay little to nothing to work for them instead of the high pay and miles. I will have to take it for the next 3-5 years anyways.

Well I guess all I can say is, dont do the crime if you cant do the time. Still sucks though, sorry to hear about it.

Im wondering what CSA 2010 will do with that?

it used to be that once it was old enough the insurance cmpanie didn't look then they would hire you. I had a dui and I was driving for my dad within a year and for other companies after 3 years. I couldn't apply anywhere, some companies asked for 5 years and some asked for 3.
But with CSA2010 coming online I don't see anyone hiring ya. It would count against their rating just for having employed you

This is true I have had some that only seek out three years right now but they are on the bottom of the food chain. Also have a few half way good companies that seek 5 years out and a lot of them are 10 or more and not at all if you ever had a dui. My family has their own authortiy and we are also getting into the broker biz. WE know how that goes sometimes. We are tring real hard to broker to trucks we already know till we can get to the point to where we can pay now or in the 7 days time frame. Got a lot going on without even driving a truck. Just miss the darn things at times. By the way former landstar bco as well.
