Your numbers are a little off. But, it is a fact, the keystone pipeline would provide almost 2x what your importing from Russia.
"In 2021, the US imported an average of 209,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil and 500,000 bpd of other petroleum products from Russia, according to the American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) trade association" .3 days ago

Your operating expenses do not change if you're loaded or not. "Loaded miles" is BS broker-speak just like, "backhaul". No such thing. It's a load....period. Your mileage rate is the same no matter what.Brettj3876, Rubber duck kw, runningman0661 and 2 others Thank this.

has anybody been noticing that when you just "touch" the handle it starts dropping fuel by itself???? been seeing this for a while now..

This is some of the best advice I've seen. Have everything paid off! Dave Ramsey show convinced me of this a long time ago. I was going to have my 12.7 Detroit rebuilt in my glider this month even though with 1,600,000 it still runs great but wanted to rebuild while on vacation and before anything major goes wrong. They can't say for sure if they can get all the parts so we're going to just do bearings and new clutch and keep my paid for truck going.dwells40 Thanks this.

You are right, a tank or tanks on the frame or cat walk are legal as long as they are mounted right, they have to be plumbed to draw from the tanks but not gravity fed in any way. The fmcsa regs are clear on that.Siinman Thanks this.

I’ve been buying up parts for the older trucks to have in stock, it would be wise for everyone with high mileage trucks to start buying overhaul parts now and what you don’t use, you will sell very fast because of the depleted stock of parts we have in the market.Midwest Trucker and jim3029 Thank this.

That's a great idea. The people my shop buy parts from said they will know exactly what parts they need when the engine is pulled apart. They seem to be unsure because it is a DDIII with a DDIV ecm on it and upgraded to a 500hp. I'm afraid they will tear it apart and then not be able to get what they need and then I'm screwed so gonna try and keep it going for now.
