Make them pay

Him and his buddy are hauling the same load. His buddy hauled this load 2 weeks ago for 7500... Now mlc is hauling this same load for 8100... next time they have lunch mlc is buying his buddy a beer since he made more money doing the same job.

 

A buddy hauled it for 7500$ two weeks ago. It's paying $600 more now.

 

Those OR miles get expensive.

I don't see the rates up in the midwest. They went down by 10% at least on DAT. There are probably brokers who will pay the rate from two weeks ago. But if you are going to have more drivers than loads, the rate is going to go down, no matter the fuel cost at that moment.
