I’m pretty sure being on Parole, or at least Probation is a requirement.

 

Specifically, having beaten your ex, current wife or girlfriend.

 

Well, I got my $5.92 cpm Load. It’s very light. 36 mile DH, only took 6 hrs to load. 5 stops tomorrow, first ones 220 miles away. So probably no reload till Wed. All because I’m trying to keep my average up. Whole trip w/36 mike DH, is only 385 miles. If I can get a late load tomorrow, it will be great. Fat chance. Never know. Time to head home.

 

Seeing that town's name always gives me pause. My father witnessed a trucker shoot and kill another trucker there sometime around 1960. Somewhere in my old scrapbooks, I have a newspaper article about that murder. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the 4th photo down on this website is the location where this happened. LINK

Absolutely, I haven't even mentioned yet the advanced lessons consisting of: dealing with untrained pitbulls, feral hogs, drunken composure, evasion tactics, rabid mammals and required attire.

 

Well, at least is was a short drive to the West Texas Detention Facility for the perpetrator.

 

Well, I understand the shooter spent several years in Huntsville Texas. Ask a Texas Resident what being sent to Huntsville for murder means!

 

Ran Columbus, MS to LA - Frisco every week with Beneke for over a year in 1957/58. Team, out and back. Sierra Blanca was a convenient
place to switch. Always expecting the red light and Border Patrol ladder side visit. Seemed like the illegals came up on the southside
road (you being eastbound) on old US80. Seems it was far enough out of El Paso to be a better chance overall.
Late night, you eastbound, red light come on on the car, you brake down. A man appears and shinnies up the driver side, you say hi, he reply's.
Get's close to your face and ask if any one in the sleeper. Man in sleeper rouses and speaks. Guy drops back down and the man with a
shotgun over by the car lifts his shotgun and kills the red light. Different days, different ways...
