According to Wikipedia, the Kenworth T600A had an optional digital dashboard designed by Boeing for the model years 1990 to 1994. The source that was cited for this fact was an article from a truck magazine in the UK and I can't find it. I'm also not even sure if that is the right source because it says the article is from 1986.
Kenworth T600 - Wikipedia
I am VERY curious as to what this dashboard looked like, or if it even existed. A lot of people prefer the W900 to the "anteater", but I think the design aged well, and most of the T600s still on the road with their faded paint and scratched fenders give off a cyberpunk vibe. I'm imagining this digital dashboard would look like something out of Knight Rider only a little more practical. If David Hasselhoff drove a truck you know he'd be driving a T600 with the Boeing Dashboard.
So anyways I came here to ask if anyone has ever driven or seen a T600 with a digital dashboard from the early '90s. Who knows maybe it was terrible and no one bought it, or maybe it never even made it into production. If you have a photo please share it!
Thanks

My one uncle had a T600 back in the '90's that had that digital dash. Being in my early teens, I thought it was the coolest thing. I'd sit in the sleeper and watch the gauges move up and down as he drove in total fascination.
Was pretty neat for the '90's, when everything else suckedbzinger, Zeault, Hammer166 and 1 other person Thank this. -
That Is wicked. Can we make it work in the T660 Glider? 19 gauge factory dash
bzinger Thanks this. -
They had a button pad also that allowed switching gauges from km to miles, reset trip and fuel mileage etc. I would still be running mine but the keypad would no longer work.larry2903, Zeault, spsauerland and 1 other person Thank this. -

Anyone remember Fleming Foods in San Antonio? The big Core-Mark bought them and merged them with Grocers Supply Co. They had at one time close to 50 Dark Blue Flat Tops and day cabs with those digital dashes. They all went down to ‘Ole Mex in the early 2000’s when the new orange GSC fleet got replaced with T300’s.

Thanks for that photo! That is pretty cool. Would love to see it lit up. What color are the lights?
It fits right in with the vision of the future that Kenworth had back in the '90s. Do you think this was the first dashboard that showed you your MPG in real time? I wasn't born for a few more years so I wouldn't know.
I like wooden dashboards with all analog gauges, but I think they belong in older or classic-styled trucks. I think they look cheesy in modern aerodynamic trucks. I like my mack CX, but the fake rosewood dash looks awful. I wish they tried something digital or at least semi-digital. Keep the speedo and tach analog. -
