My dad and I started in January, and we are non cdl, a few things to mention:
    1. don't get a 30' gn, its to small, we went 30' because it was the only option we could find to buy, getting trailers are rough currently. If we could go back we would have went for a 35' even tho it would drop the amount of weight we could haul.
    2. if you like your truck don't use it for hotshot, a 3/4 ton is going to struggle hard when you get a load that is tall and not even that heavy.
    3. pick a cargo type that you work best with fast, this is the one thing we did and boy was it smart, we found that we were more than good and happy with loading AG equipment on the flotation tires, which normally people don't like doing, we get $3.50 a mile to haul less than 9000lbs all over the place and have auction sites already giving our info out to buyers of equipment to see if we are nearby.

i hope this info helps out a bit, its a hard time to get started in this business, but there is money in it.

    Chinatown Thanks this.
