I don’t actually want 4 trucks but feel like buying now will still be cheaper then buying in spring of 2023. I could be wrong but I’d rather have trucks then not have trucks. Aka if your thinking about buying then you better buy while you can.
Edit: I just also overpaid for 3 - 2021 top of the line reefers. For me right now having equipment is still key. I could have made a mistake though. Time will tell. I’ll be the first to admit the mistake if so.
Waiting on New Trucks thread.

My friend was out in Yakima Thursday and got to go to the factory on Friday. He got his W900 spec’d the way he wants it, he was told he can keep the 4th quarter 2023 delivery that he wants or they can bump it up quite a bit because they’ve had some cancellations. Also, they didn’t even talk about price. They said it’s way too far out to price a truck right now.

Those sticker prices have got to be hard to swallow.

Wondering if the dealer updated you on build or if they wait till the end of build week to update you? I still have no word on mine being built yet.Rideandrepair, Oxbow and shooter19802003 Thank this.

This is what he replied to my last e-mail:
They are showing on schedule in the system, but they are moving very slowly from the time they are scheduled to go through the factory until I see them.
I will keep you posted as they move through the factory.
Thanks,Rideandrepair, shooter19802003 and Siinman Thank this. -
Mine was ordered on 3/10/21 so it has been over a year since ordered. I don't know how I will act when it gets built finally. I did not even ask for an update this week. Figure the end of next week I will see what they say again.Rideandrepair and shooter19802003 Thank this.

Think i put these orders in about the same time frame.
After the first 40-50 trucks you don't get excited about getting new ones. LOLBlue jeans, Rideandrepair, Siinman and 2 others Thank this. -
I say keep the old ones, sell the new ones at a large profit. Wait 2 yrs. Buy slightly used repos at half the price. I also say, don’t listen to me, I’m always wrong. Lol. A friend just sold an old Columbia for $34k, 3 days on Fakebook Marketplace, got 410 hits, then an offer from the first Guy that came out. He’s selling his Classic next. Friend of his sold half his Fleet. 4 used Pete’s, for $450k. He’s debating on the 5 he has left. I’m tempted myself. Saw one like mine ( not as nice) advertised for $75k. I paid $21k, 13 yrs ago. I need the steady revenue more though. The idea that I could pay off my house, by selling my 22 yr old Truck, and 14 yr. old Trailer is mind boggling. Only 87k owed on house. Very tempting. Going to keep running, paying extra on everything. Then when it’s time to sell, take whatever the Market will pay.

Keep in mind what capital gains will do to those that sell too.Last edited: Mar 13, 2022
