Check you transmission to see if there is coolant in it. I was loosing coolant, at the same time, i had a slight oil leak coming from the transmission. Short story; the transmission cooler went bad and fed coolant to the transmission. I bypassed the trans cooler, and changed the trans oil, problem solved.

Did you check the air compressor, power steering cooler (it's a small square box with coolant hoses attached in and out located inside the right frame under the engine) and heating elements for leaks?

Well what do you think is the problem? just like a doctor try for a second opinion take it to another Volvo Truck repair, usually if its a genuine Truck dealer their not going to make up stuff about your engine. Also try the AAA they usually have qualified mechanics that can do an inspection for a second opinion, just keep in mind that if the truck is losing coolant first thing is there a leak in the radiator, hose, water pump, this is the more common cause for leaks, ok no leaks there what else can cause a leak? Cracked head can also cause coolant leaks in which case you'll need to replace the head, you can tell if the head is cracked if you are finding water in your oil, if left long enough this could cause other issues of wear and tear to the motor.

Wow, in 2016 I had my Isx rebuilt for $25,000.00 Canadian which is $19,803 Us dollars. My local Volvo dealer. Sheehans Burlington Ont, labour rate is US $138.00. Just wonder if you could get a rebuilt unit in Canada from Volvo and have it shipped to You. It might be cheaper. Because I do expedite work, a dedicated truck from Toronto On to Charlotte Nc is around $3000.00. Best of Luck.

Well injector cups if needed to be done, they need to be done. I would maybe ask if they can replace cups and if possible just adjust the valves, they will probably say they’re too far gone, but if they agree I would just do the cups and adjust valves and go. At this dealer at last. If still problems after that take it somewhere else, preferably not a dealer.
