Easy 140-150k for my truck as it is right now. I don't wanna go bigger.

Great so you are not forced by the market to run. Be cautious and wise. A lot of people do not have that choice.

Yea been sitting a lot since Christmas. I can keep sitting financially but being home so much is driving me nuts.

    I'm considering all my options

I'm in the same boat. I've sat home all winter a couple times now...this time by choice but it gets boring.

Probably true but those were all ordered a long time ago. I'd be curious what effect the past couple weeks have had on new orders entering the pipeline.

Right now they pay better than they ever have. $1.90-2.30/mi at a place I've been talking to. For single pull/power only that's not too bad. Rates they giveth they can taketh away though if they quit selling.

That varies. Some places sign the paper work and you're out of there in 15 minutes. Some places they write every little thing down even inside stuff the driver had nothing to do with and make you sit there and wait. I've never been charged for anything that was BS or incidental like a pebble ding on the nose or anything that was obviously a quality control issue.

Depends how high the fuel goes but you very well could be right. $5 isn't a deal breaker but $10 would be. Covid was actually the best thing that's happened for RVs in awhile. This new drama not so much.

Got a pintle hitch? Grab some power only trailer moves off of Bennett or Landstar.

Length limit kinda stops me from trailer pulls. Bumper/Pintle hitch + truck limit to 65 feet. Limited to 24 foot total (hitch to bumper) length trailers.
My truck is a bit over 40 foot without the hitch installed. Took me 2 months to find a car trailer I can pull and be 65 foot or less.

Those rules are kind of stupid and arbitrary but yeah, it is what it is. Never even thought about it really when I drove that haul and tow truck for a brief period, but the haul and tow trailer sets were usually 22-24' single-axle trailers in the 3000-4000 lb range and the smaller one would always go on the deck if they weren't perfectly identical.
