My truck is a bit over 40 foot without the hitch installed. Took me 2 months to find a car trailer I can pull and be 65 foot or less. -
Those rules are kind of stupid and arbitrary but yeah, it is what it is. Never even thought about it really when I drove that haul and tow truck for a brief period, but the haul and tow trailer sets were usually 22-24' single-axle trailers in the 3000-4000 lb range and the smaller one would always go on the deck if they weren't perfectly identical.
