You know, this is sad! All these truck/train video's....

A couple things that I was taught was to never never never stop on the rail road tracks.... And never never never shift while crossing the tracks.

No one was hurt here.The corner actually just clipped the door pealing it off the cab.6" over and the driver would have been pealed with it.

I don't that had anything to do with stopping distance.... I thing that was stupidity on one conductor.

There were 2 stories I have heard.One was the crew fell asleep which is in theory impossible since after 30 seconds the train goes into Emergency without control movement or the reset button being pressed(must be released.You can't just place a book on it to hold it down).THe other story was they over guestimated the weight and braking power of their train.They were to stop at the switch and the train with teh camera was to take the siding.
