Pete 579, 10 speed manual, highway gearing, no def.
    Mx-13 2016
    2137 miles78,000 pounds
    272 gallons burned

East coast. 20 percent in mountains.

    Cruise set at 63mph.

    7.8mpg
Typically run 77mph, but after my $1000 fill-up, I cut it back to 63 to see what it would do. She did well. Gained 1.5mpg by slowing down 15mph.

Just making this for those that ask about mpg all the time.

    Love my areo Pete

Whatcha got for a motor? I’ve got a pre emissions truck with the CAT mbn in it. I get excited when I get 4.9 and that doesn’t happen often lol. Although I am in the mtns a bit up in the NE.

That means my truck gets almost 40 percent better mpg. That's about $800 a week saved in fuel costs.

Will that change the amount of loads you get over month. Or just the relax time in between the loads. Just wondering.
    Either way good for you.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Hard to get an accurate average over 2100 miles. Maybe 10k.

I run a very tight schedule almost always west. Yeah, I barely averaged 5 this trip, but running 65 when I can run 80, may cost me 8k in a trip.

..Buuuuuut...you saved 330. In fuel on that 1000 mile trip..So it's all good..cause there'll be another 6700 dollar load for ya to make up for the 8000 dollar load you missed
As you pointed out .. trip over a dollar to pick up a dime

You normally run 77 mph on the east coast to begin with? That seems like the bigger issue than mpg
