Don’t mean to start any jokes here.
So I’m starting with a pickup truck and a two car hauler, not the one with wood on deck. Am I considered a hotshot or a car hauler?
I’m looking to get into hauling partial shipments, like the ones seem mostly on the bigger trailers 102X40, are those also called hot shots
What are LRT trailers, they seem to be a hybrid between car hauler and flatbeds. Usually 3 single axles.
Much appreciate your expertise in advance.
My setup.

What am I?

Doesn’t matter what ya call it
long as you have the right license and DOT / MC numbers and insurance , and a good accountant to make sure the IRS doesn’t eat you alive , and a good mechanic to help keep your rig running .Lite bug and 24kHotshot Thank this. -
That’s all good, just trying to learn the ropes. Understand what people refer to when they say hotshot this or hotshot that. What’s freight and LRT. Again just learning the acronyms, labels…

normally when you say hotshot to a broker, in their mind its a 40' flatbed gn, but honestly as long as the weight and width work for that trailer, you don't explain to them anything and just call it a hotshot, it will however pose a problem when it comes to trying to get load centered over wheels as they will likely load it with a fork.
DMPCarrier Thanks this.
