I've had that same thought lately. But I still love this site.
I noticed you mentioned driver facing cameras. I started a thread about that very topic. I started that mostly for the sake of conversation amongst the 'vetrans' on this site. Wanted their opinions and thoughts on what THEY would do if faced with a similar issue. I know what I'll do in that situation, but whatever. I wanted to hear someone else's thoughts.
Judging by some of the questions and thread topics, and seeing some of these new 'truckers' ( I believe there's a huge difference between a 'trucker' and a driver), I can see the end in sight for my time as a driver. I don't want to be associated with the 'truckers'. And the 'drivers' are slowly fading out, retiring, or being pushed aside.
It's sad to watch. Really sad.

99% of the time i don't give a %^&$ what anyone say's. I know there are a few good computer people on here and that's why i asked for the settings. I don't believe that is some kind of an ignorant question, nor that it should be about how things used to be. I bought my first new truck in 78/79 and have bought over 200 since then. Other than the first few years of emissions, i seldom have down time from them. Those old trucks had problems, they weren't worry free, though some seem to forget that.

I can say this month is my 10 year anniversary of being a truck driver, many of you I have followed almost the same amount of time on here...thank you for being professionals that I could learn from.....everyone lets raise a cold one and keep on truckin'....
D.Tibbitt, 201, austinmike and 1 other person Thank this. -
Yeah. But no group hugs, okay?Magoo1968, D.Tibbitt, Sirscrapntruckalot and 9 others Thank this. -
wichris, come on man ... Your upset over an argument with another VETERAN Driver? First off, your both i would say are in your 60`s or maybe early 70`s, and you have the energy to take things offensive, were too old for that crap. Happily Retired is a great guy, i read a lot of his post. I would say if you were a young kid on here, different story. Wichris, Happily Retired is a good man. The Mods have to step in sometimes, If they feel were out of control. Dont get him in trouble. your both Great Drivers. ha ,ha,ha, group hug, dangBadmon, 201, Crude Truckin' and 2 others Thank this.

I find this kinda funny ..coming for a member that has a sub title [ Captain Crusty ]...lmao..
But you are so right .. It seems the more miles we get under us the more set in our ways we become and rightfully so because I feel we have paid our dues -
No argument, just replied to an inane remark that had nothing to do with what i had asked. And then a rant on old vs new. No idea why a mod would get involved, i never asked/expected any apology. I don't think either one of us need some sort of "safe space"
Maybe on of the mods can just delete both threads.Wargames and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
The mods haven't taken any action because there was no reason to take any action. A couple of people ran their mouth, a couple of people got offended but nobody really broke the rules with name calling or insults.
I'm not going to delete the thread because it has information that other people can use.Wargames, Magoo1968, jraulpilot1998 and 5 others Thank this. -
My Dad once told Me, Be tolerant of the young, and be patient with the old. Or was it the other way around? I guess it could be argued. Lol
bavarian, Sirscrapntruckalot, Badmon and 7 others Thank this.
