Illinois trucking companies/ driver looking for job

So unexpectly the company i was leasing with decided to close doors last month, naturally i didnt have the funds to take the truck with me so been jobless since. Was hired on to 2 different companies recently but one offered me pretty junky truck and the other one had none. Have a company driver position starting soon but naturally is a foreign owned chicago company. I have plenty experience with these companies and most run a legit business so im not to concerned about the reviews etc....
Ive got 20 years out here and from my research recently into companies ive discorved a few things but mostly in illinois, American ran companies pay around .55 cents which aint terrible but all have some type of bad reviews and good reviews. The foreign companies pay awesome this one offering me .75 and obviously also has bad reviews and good reviews.
Ultimately i would love to get my own truck and maybe run under a friends authority he getting up and going soon but until then do to lack of transportation options im stuck in illinois. If current job offer fails i will need a back up plan.
Anyone know a good company in illinois that offers maybe a decent lease plan or good company pay, dry van or refer and prefer midwest regional thxs

 

Call GP Transco. They pay well, good insurance and like all companies, have some issues that will make you grind your teeth, and others that will make you grin. Darrin, IL location of corp. office. I think there is a thread on them here. I don't know if they lease or not and would fine tooth comb them before leasing from them. My major heart burn with them is they could not get me home, back to the yard in IL, but not back to TX.
