I’ve got a yard full I’ll be doing the same thing with before too much longer. Maybe we should park them all in the same pole barn, put up the Museum sign, and call it a job at that.shooter19802003, Oxbow, Midwest Trucker and 1 other person Thank this.

Except that European Union is not even close to NAFTA. It is supposed be federalized monstrum which the member countries signed in Lisbon treaty...signed the devils cyrograph, effectively giving their independence away.
So now they have effects.
War in Ukraine and sanctions on Russia does not help trucking there either. It will take time to reshape.shooter19802003 and LoneRanger Thank this. -
I am seeing the same. A small uptick in rates from last two weeks. I am assuming brokers didn’t get all their loads moved last 2 weeks at cut rate prices. Reefer and food grade trailerside.Dave_in_AZ and Brettj3876 Thank this.

I don’t want to see the old stuff legislated away either. I know all todays common wisdom says I should have got new trucks years ago. The oldest one I have in the line working is an ‘89. The guy that drives it is a ‘91. I was going to start buying new ones a while back but I didn’t want to have to find new drivers. I talked to them all, and to a man they told me they’d rather spend some of their time fixing and tinkering than give up the old trucks. Three of my guys are old farts like me and I expected that from them, the other two are kids, but they’re Truck Drivers too. They didn't want new trucks any more than the older guys. I did $1.87m with 5 of my own and 2 O/O’s last year. No crashes, no tore up equipment, no freight claims and no crying. They want to drive old trucks, I’ll hire another mechanic if I have to.shooter19802003, Brettj3876, Oxbow and 2 others Thank this.
