essentially yes...
You can even splurge and get the electric landing gear that will drop at the flick of a button.
We need this in USA Jost KKS

One other thing I really love about this is no more loose hoses and electrical. It is like wiring a nice display and everything looks right and neat. The way the Hose and Electrical hook up to a trailer is just not neat and drives me nuts as I have a little bit of OCD.
D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
Reroute them underneath if that’s the problem.Siinman Thanks this.
-
Do you have an example of how that would work? I might do that on my new truck if it works good.

more like another device, and an expensive one, for stupid steering wheel holders to destroy.
-
Well now that u say that. Id probably use it for that as well.Siinman Thanks this.

This is why I like it the most. Nothing on the market that I have seen gives a clean look.D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

I second that. It's cool idea, but it definitely sounds expensive. I can't imagine the cost of repair if it ever breaks, kind of like the video mirrors they have now.

InTooDeep, God prefers Diesels, Siinman and 2 others Thank this. -
The whole idea is moot except in very isolated market circumstances.
Except as I mentioned, a totally automated need, like autonomous vehicles.
Even someone who had their own tractor and trailer combination would run into problems if he had to have someone else move his trailer.
It eliminates the very item that makes a semi tractor-trailer such an efficient system, almost total universal interchangeability.
We won't even get into the cost involved in equipping a fleet like this or it's ROI, which is well into negative territory.
