    This is my experience with sleeper Insulation. It was quite a job to do what I did do, and I never got back to finishing it. And there is lots more.
    It did quiet things down, but it didnt make it so you cant hear your apu. I would try setting it to run on constant so you get use to it running, the on/of is probably your problem.
    Dynamat type products work, but they are not magic. And there are things I would do differently.

    Look up Armacell. It's high insulation factor, it wont grow mold, it's used in the HVAC word to do chillers and heat units, available in sheets in various thicknesses. It is pricy, but VERY good. I used it.

    Cant get a better insulator than Armacell. You did a great job.
