Hey every one. I am one of the ones that got caught up in the Swift Trans thing. My license was cancelled. If you or anyone you know has a truck and trl I could use just to take the test. I can pass on the first try and be on with the company I was working for befor I lost my license. They have already told me I can have my job back. I do not have anything I could hand you right now. All I have is what I would need to get the test started. After I get back to work though it would not be a problem shooting you a couple of 100 dollar bills to your hand to show how much I appreceated the help. Look, I know that I am asking a lot and all, but, I am willing to make it up as well. I am just a trucker that got shot a bit of hard luck and if anyone can help then please do. I am asking from one trucker to another. Yall have a nice rest of the day.

I know this man, I can vouch for him. He's a good Christian man and a hard worker. He's got his permit he just needs to take the driving portion of the CDL test.

If all else fails go rent a truck and trailer for the day with a buddy that has a current cdl and knock it out.

Maybe the company that your gonna work for will let you use a truck and trailer and even have someone go there to the test with you. Give it a shot and good luck

Maybe I missed something but I don't think he has the money to rent a tractor & trailer. If he did, then this would be a done deal.

Texman, have you approached any of the community colleges in the area that have a CDL course? Or even a small local company? You might get some help there. Just a thought.

    Best of luck.

Why does he need to get his CDL?
I thought he already had one.
    Did I miss something?

Swift should step up and provide trucks for these guys and gals.

I am thinking with a permit you can't drive a comapny truck for insurance reasons.

Schools probably can't help as you sometimes have to pay insurance as part of the tuition. State run schools=lots of red tape!

I believe this driver was caught up with the "Swift Scandel" and had his license invalidated.

All he supposedly has to do is retake the road test but needs a CMV to do that with and has no $ right now to rent one.

Maybe try posting on Craigslist too..although I tried that for over a month and didnt get a single reply. There is a school here in WI that will do that but they too want cash at the end of the day - as expected.

You might need to find someone to borrow the money from if nothing happens for 'free'... :biggrin_25511:
