Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

So, the guy is making another $120k a year (estimated) for taking some videos with his phone. I would say that's killing it.

 

Yh I seen that. Anywhere from 600 to 10k.

Probably 3 or 4 years ago SupertruckerDan told me he was making about $1500/month in youtube revenue. He has 50k subscribers compared to 150k that this guy has... So ya he can definitely sit at home and play part time trucker...

 

Last I heard it was around $5 to $10 per 1000 views. Still significant income. He definitely does everything right if your wanting to build an audience.

My guess half his revenue comes from YouTube.

 

So the one video at 1.5 mil views divided by 1000 = 1500 x 7 (mean number) = $10,500 off one of the 939 videos. Obviously all of his videos don't do that well. All I'm saying is, it isn't insignificant like others are saying. All that with zero overhead. I've got no dog in the fight. In the spirit of full disclosure, I do despise the new breed of youtubers as a living crowd.
However, again, in all fairness, I don't fault someone for making money where they can either.

 

I should Start a you tube channel .. but... I'm kinda boring. My wife however is stacking double d's. Maybe I'll put her on. Wtf

That’s one of the problems with this industry, people flooding the trucking industry when rates are high causing the demand for trucks to go down, causing rates to go down.

 

Sex sells and as long as the measurements are proportional I’m sure you’ll have viewers. Like the fake model truckers pretending to drive.
