Appreciate the info dude, MB has been on my short list for along time, hopefully the one here in Calgary AB is a good place to work.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

It really is, hard to get into. I prob know 10-15 people who work at Costco (non driving) and 2-3 in the US who are drivers. The best success story is a friends mom, who was a banquet chef in a hotel for over 18 years. She got laid off under new management, and replaced with "more cost effective options" I don't think she ever made over $19/hr + OT no benefits. She started at Costco as a box lady for $20/hr with full benefits, then moved into food prep (veggie platters, meat and cheese etc etc) now she is doing all the pre-cooked goods/chickens/platters/catering platters/BBQ etc etc $32/hr OT after 8, full benefits. Going on 5 years now, would rather die than leave for any reason.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

Only problem i see with MB is it’s kind of like otr it’s a life style doing food service /union work .having to be on spare board,on call ,no weekends etc etc it’s no for everyone but you’re paid well if you can be patient well you move up the ladderAnother Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Go haul some logs...co. driver can make $6-900 a day....Its just a little extra work...toss tire chains here n there...a few ropes over the load n hammer down. Repeat. Easy money imo.

I declined. Not young anymore. -
Well, you were looking for a job the day you found that one. Get out there and find one of those jobs that pay you big money to sit on your couch. I’m sure they’re out there. Just not in this industry.BigHossVolvo and Another Canadian driver Thank this.
