I have a 2022 VNL760. Unsure if it has any kind of dynamic st÷ering or not. I had a 2019 VNL760 and it handled pretty much the same. I don't have much experience in anything but those 2 Volvos. So, no idea. I just drive the thing!
I was talking to a 25 year OO yesterday evening at a Denmy's. Funny guy. He said he didn't like Volvos because they were, and I quote, he seriously said this, "they are too luxurious. They're too smooth and will let you fall asleep to easy." Well, I didn't really have a response to that except, well, ok. Been laughing to myself aboit it most of today as I've been getting beat up driving I-64 in West Virginia with wind all day today. First 250 miles today wore me out. Glad I don't drive that road often. I'm on the West coast 95% of the time. But, to breakup the monotony, I'll come back East on occasion. I'm headed to just West of Chicago tomorrow and then heading back to my beloved West. I know this because I'm gonna refuse any and all loads that don't take me West. I'm ready to get back to familiar stomping grounds.
Anyway, I was hoping I'd find a way to share that piece of the conversation on here somehow. It still has me chuckling. Well, he was a nice guy and the Denny's was seriously understaffed. He and I weren't in any hurry, so we had a chance to jaber jaw about things and laugh at the idiots with no patience at a Denny's. The waitress was a hoot too. So, it was an enjoyable evening. I even had some rabbit food (a salad) to help balance out a usually vegetable deficit diet.

Here is a link of what it is. Volvo Dynamic Steering | Volvo Trucks USA
I love the story. I cant tell you how many people always talk #### about a Volvo for reasons I find funny most of the time. Posted I got this new truck coming on Facebook and one of my old friends says he hates it because it is a Volvo. I will be on the side of the road he says. He drives an older Kensworth and has been broke down more times in a year than I have in 3 years. Just funny how some people think just because of a brand.

I've never been on the side of the road with my Volvo in 4 years/400,000 miles. Today just could be the day, we'll see. The people who hate Volvos either know nothing about them, are luddites in general, or they have experience with worn out company junk (the well known 'white Volvo' syndrome).

Cheap, white beat up junker company trucks come in all varieties, I see a lot more POS Crapcadias and Pornstars than I do Volvos where I run.

And ya know what else? I always pay attention to what kind of trucks are on the side of the road. I see a bunch more old iron, usually old Petes and Freightliners, broken down on hills than anything else by far. Must be those old cooling systems that just can't handle the loads.
