Look I will reply to this and I am not trying to start an argument with anyone, yes I was only there driving 9 days most of which was me trying to get the truck back to them. I will upload photos to show what I am talking about with everything I am mentioning. First Outside of being a true O/O and knowing how to run a business and building your own contacts through brokers or direct shippers, cutting out a lot of middlemen, you are getting screwed, whether working for Eastern European company or American Company, one will do the whole the 1099 and mis classify drivers because it's a lot easier for them to up and disappear only to come back under a different Name and MC number, plus they put all risk on you, have you paying for everything and save a ton on not having to provide benefits, or pay into SS or medicare, FICA, workers comp, etc while most also still off the top of what they are getting for each load then will still take 12-25percent. American companies will set you as a W2 but underpay you by a lot, I still see carriers offering 40-50cpm, or do a Fleece lease a lot only offering a set cpm like 1.30, or will steal off loads they put on their own load boards, I have met with Scheinider and USA, plus many other Truck drivers seeing the loads they get offered at 1.29-1.59 per mile on their internal load board. Both are robbing you one way or another.
But to you showing your point of making $5600, one your fuel was not 1,000 for 4k plus miles you did, same with tolls, unless you paid with a different method, or they prorated it out unto the week before, or it will reflect on the week after, like I used mainly all cash to pay for my tolls, as all they had was the EZpass, not Best Pass. Second the point I am making is yes you can prolly still make more than most traditional companies, if you are willing to run your butt off, and illegally at most of them as thats what they were telling me to do. I got the just delete the elog off your phone and we will send permit stating it has been down for more than 24 or 48hrs, and just run paper logs and make it look good. But also that 5k check minus some more fuel but prolly should have been 8k, if they weren't stealing off each load. Again listening to them they would have me believing I grossed around 12k but when in reality I grossed around 18k in those 9 days, ran 6k miles not all legally, last load in Iowa I deadhead about 350-400 miles because I just wanted to get the truck back to them.
If you don't believe me, next time one of those brokers call you ask what they are paying for the load you are picking up say that your dispatcher forgot to send you the rate con, and listen to what they tell you, or go back in some of those apps if you ever use them at the brokers request to track you, a lot of the times you will have the rate con uploaded in the documents section by the broker, and look at the difference from what the dispatcher told you the load was paying. Also download some free load boards and look at different freight coming out of different areas and check DAT to see an average rate, but again most of these are getting much higher rates to compensate with fuel.
We as drivers take all the BS most of time live this life most others don't want to do, yet are the ones always getting screwed, believe me I am not lazy I run 700-800 miles on a good day legally everyday but did 1400 miles in a single sitting out there at LB, and they were trying to get me to cover a load form San Jose to Virginia or TN on Wednesday to be there by Friday, and the crazy thing is, I prolly would have taken it if I knew they weren't stealing so much off each load, they were lying saying we can get 4k, when I guarantee that would have have been more like a 8k plus load.
This guy almost hits everything spot on. CLEVELAND O/O'S IF YOU ANSWER YES TO ANY OF THESE QUESTIONS CALL ME!...
Here is one for example them telling me over text load pays 4,000 then me finding out from the broker it actually paid 4800.
That load from AZ to CA they told me was $1800 was really 3k, the CA to CO which cancelled, they told me 3k while I ended up talking to the broker he told me he was paying us 5k, Load from CA to WA they say 2200 really was 3200, Load from WA to IA they say 4k was really 4800.
Load from IL to AZ they said was 4260 was really 6k.
Point is this company will steal off every load, and most drivers will not know especially if coming from a mega carrier that was grossly underpaying you anyways, because after all was said and done, I was gonna play their game and just let them pay the 5k plus they owed me, off what they claimed each load was paying, not off what I know each one was paying and the 10k they really owed, which I am sure I would have gotten the 5k plus off their lies if I hadn't left but once I left, then they started playing more games saying it was accounting I needed to talk to, but yet no one had their number to give me, then it would be 90 days before I saw my check, and that's when I went off on them, and let them know I knew everything, only to get a bunch of them laughing in the background, telling me I wasn't getting ####. After that I found out everyone one of these MF/s real name and ages and addresses and work history, and let them know I was serious, with them doing nothing but ignoring me until I did a DOL Complaint and got an attorney, which then I was sent a check for less than half of what they owed me, with BS thrown in there that was never to be paid and all types of other deductions that were lies, like load straps, truck trailer wash, flight ticket, Oil Change a bunch of other BS that is not on here but another settlement sheet that should have been covered or was never a thing to pay back such as flight ticket, and load straps which I never touched.
If you don't believe me just look at the reviews now for LB Independent, when I went there it was 1 or 2 reviews saying great things, now others have posted, as someone put there, They will ask you if you can run 900-1000k miles a day, I know its illegal, but I am far from lazy, have worked my ### off out of 115k of debt I was once in, due to starting a business in my 20's then falling into drugs and alcohol in less than 3 yrs from my pinnacle, now being in my 30's.
I am not doubting the person can make 5k a week, but I am showing you and telling you how they operate, now its up to you to decide how you want to run, and if you can take them lying straight to you while talking to you like your buddies, also I make 85cpm right now going home every week and if I was running 4k miles every week, which I have hit 4450 in one week legally, I am right around the same amount of 150-160k in 11 months. -
U have a very solid point.. but u have to realize that 1, we come from making 1400-2k a week (PUSHING IT), when u come from making that to 3k,4k,5k a week then its a win win bro.. when u sign the papers u are LEASING the truck.. u are not a 100% owner op.. its like crawling before you walk, this will put any person in a better position and get them adjusted/ready for the real thing..
but i just think its not fair that u scare alot if people away because it is some very life changing money u can make over here

Im just here to let people know that it is very good life changing money over here and then when u ready to move up, u can FINAIANCE through them so ur not LEASING, it would be the real deal..

I'd like to know more about this win-win, if you would. That 3,4,5K a week is BEFORE taxes, correct? You are having to foot repairs to a vehicle that you DO NOT, or EVER WILL own? Correct? Probably a trailer rental fee in there somewhere, I would imagine. You have to take the loads provided by the lessee, can't run off a load board, si?

Another thing that should be noted on those statements are the CASH ADVANCES which can absolutely KILL your earnings!!
In the 7 1/2 years I’ve been driving I have NEVER made or taken ANY cash advances-not a single one!! I’ve always made sure I had enough money in my bank account to cover me for essential stuff (food,showers,etc.)in case the paychecks were a little short. -

Actually, i never really cared! I just came on here to clear a few things. this is my last respond. Im not anyone special, they are not paying me to say this.. im just a regular driver who drives for them and they made me very wealthy.

u easily hire a cpa to do ur taxes.. simple.
Must been a w2 guy all ur life and if u are a 1099 paying crazy amount of taxes them something is wrong with u.. get a cpa dude.. simple.. i broke even after making over 100k and paid 0 in taxes
