Hi, I purchased a 2016 579 PB and it needs the 63” sleeper replaced. So wondering if anyone knows if other models ie. 379,389 etc will swap out? A8F52A86-AE6B-450D-8D5B-D9680373B751.jpeg

You may be better off to swap the whole cab. I know of a couple of integral trucks that have been worked on. One had a bunk replaced after a crash and the other had one removed and the daycab kit installed. They both run, but you need earplugs and a raincoat to drive them. Squeaks and leaks.

Sounds like they needed a better qualified shop to do the work instead of some goober in his barn.

They were done at a dealer, both of them. I’ve got trucks older than the lead hand in the body shop there so maybe that should have been a hint. I was mostly looking at time. I swapped W900 Aerocabs on one of mine. There was less than 60 hrs in it and I only had to paint the hood. Don’t know what a fix and paint on one of those would run to. I’ve never touched one.

    No.

Your talking Legacy 1.9 vs 2.1 m cabs

    Totally different

You’ll need to source the same bunk for a 579. When you find one it will be a pretty straightforward swap. It’s not an integral bunk as stated above. It has a regular boot around the hole the same as the old style, just a larger hole is all.
