What has the badger been up to lately?

Since I haven't been working, (except around the property), since moving into the house, I decided to do some remodeling inside the truck. Wifey is adamant about not being OTR anymore, so I don't need a bed or some other things and am working on making the truck more amenable to my changing needs.

I've gotten rid of all the electric on the passenger side and am only keeping the sound, heater and overhead light on the driver's side. I'll probably also keep a reading light. The DVR camera system is now hardwired in and the remaining wiring is becoming neater. (I believe Kenworth employs ADD afflicted hamsters to make their harnesses.)

Laminate floors on top of kilmat (or an equivalent) are on the agenda along with wooden cabinetry new front seats.

It's nice being able to do everything indoors but, as you can see, the supervisor can be a bit catty. She's always spying on me.

 

The cats that were on the truck now have 2800 sq ft to run in instead of 30.

 

There may the odd occasion when I'm 'caught out' and need to spend the night in the truck. Even though I'm converting the bed to a bench, not spending money on a motel will be worth keeping the studio.

 

I suppose this is life now...lol. While bush hogging I managed to find a soft spot and managed to bury myself in the mud. After a few failed attempts with shovels, jacks, ramps and boards, I just got a winch and she pulled right out.

Also applied for my own authority and am now slogging through that quagmire on my way to becoming fully independent.
