32F is ok, I've slept for months in the low teens to 20s with a few blankets and layers just fine, I prefer the cold and sleep better in it.
I'm still young, we'll see what happens when I'm old. Summers can get to the 90s+ in NY plus humidity it can be a drag, it's easier to warm up than cool down at least in my opinion.
Gators - can you imagine in Florida they are on the sides of roads and can swim up into your backyard or pool, surprise![]()

Not sure what he going on about but in the east, things are still pretty good, we have homeless, and I'd say most by choice or lack of effort or mental defect. As everywhere, mental health issues are not attended to as they should be.
Housing is a bit of an issue, it seems half of ontario and alberta has relocated here making property prices spike and apartment prices spike and limiting choice. That said, if your an industrious person, with half a brain, you can make a good life here. Lots of job opportunities and decent money. If you like living in the country and plan to do long haul for under 200k, I've even seen some around 100k, you can have a project home with some land, in a small community.
We are actually looking at down sizing and cashing in on the outrageous prices now and I am looking at 2 different properties in the beautiful Annapolis Valley as we speak.
It's a whole different world down here compared to Ontario and west.Sirscrapntruckalot, anondriverne, BigHossVolvo and 1 other person Thank this. -
I've worked with a lot of folk from NS, NB, NFLD and PEI. Definitely some good people from out there.BigHossVolvo and Elroythekid Thank this.

Yes that would be the most sensible thing to do find another state to live in my choice would be northern Utah, great people, low crime, no tornado's, it does get a little cold in winter but no where near as cold as Canada.BigHossVolvo and Another Canadian driver Thank this.

Logan UT is a great little city, just the right distance from SLC, short drive to Jackson WY, you can go the back way to Moab UT or Yellowstone National Park.
I personally would move to St George UT, I really really like that place. Super modern and growing, great weather, not quite full on desert or ghetto like rural NV/AZ, 2 hours from Vegas or 5 to Moab.13Splitter, Another Canadian driver and aussiejosh Thank this. -
Yes Logan UT was the area I was based out of, sometimes referred to as the Cache Valley, right in between two mountain ranges about 70 miles north of SLC, mainly a University City and dairy farms are all the industry in this city.

Im in Thunder Bay,, NW Ontario,,would never leave as the area offers everything I appreciate. Forest industry provides plenty of local trucking work, no need to ever do long haul...City over looks the Sleeping Giant
Elroythekid, Phenomenal and BigHossVolvo Thank this.
