Last couple of times I was by that Robins I didn’t dare risk the lot. Couple inches off the ground on both ends with a jeep in it. Looked like some of those holes would’ve swallowed a pick up. That coffee could have turned into an expensive all day adventure I didn’t need.

    Vampire and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this.

Check out moka pot coffee. I switched from French press. You'll need a hot plate or something, though.

    staceydude and shooter19802003 Thank this.

So I brew my coffee at the house before my shift, so that can't count. Shout out to my Stanley Master Series giant thermos, though.

I get into...gear. I'm a tech nerd at the house, so I like having my work gear that lasts forever.

Red Wing boots (probably going with another company next time around, even though these are nice). Zebralight flashlight that is simple but rock-solid. Milwaukee mechanic gloves. Sennheiser headset.

Just good, quality stuff that will last a long time.

About 2 gallons in 11 hours.

It will use a little more if I run the block heater at the same time as the space heater.

Good flashlight like a Nitecore P-10
Good knife like a spiderco delica
Definitely a spare key hidden underneath.
Don’t use the magnet boxes , use a bread twist tie or a wire . Plenty of bottled water and snacks.
Keep some of each in the side box where you can’t easily access it , for emergencies , at some point you WILL be
Stranded in traffic or somewhere for hours .
Also an emergency potty , either a camping toilet or a five gallon bucket and some trash bags made for the under the counter kitchen trash compactors . Plenty of baby wipes .

good first aid kit like a Israeli army kit or something . And plenty of aspirin
Advil , allergy medicine , Benadryl etc .

spare boots or shoes , at some point you Will get totally soaked from being out in the rain .
Heavy coat , light jacket etc
You need coats for every climate.

How good of a mechanic are you ?
Tools and spare parts list can be long.

minimum you need some air line and fittings and couplings to make roadside repairs

and a spare set of gladhands and a spare set of grommets
I even carried a spare pigtail
The gladhands and pigtail will never fail in a truck stop parking lot , it’s always 40 miles from nowhere .

a spare light bulb or three for every light on the rig .
    Giant jumper cables ,
A good quality tow strap and Clevis links . I carried a spare mirror after I knocked one off in nowhere alabama at a paper mill.

    spare mud flap .
I carried a unmounted spare tire.
Much faster and cheaper to get your own spare mounted .

two or three spare fuel filters and the wrench to change them . And a couple of quarts of Automatic transmission fluid to fill them with so I didn’t have to re prime the system , I don’t know if it’s ok to use atf in newer engines ?
    Couple gallons of water .
