I forget which manufacturer but they were having a problem with battery fires and they were saying not to charge the car inside the garage. A little inconvenient.

Didn’t Oregon or some where just decree that no gasoline powered vehicles would be allowed to be sold or registered after 2025?

must be nice to be so ignorant and dumb and still get Re elected every time

Its a pipe dream. Unless they're ready to invest trillions right now into upgrading the power grid and building power plants there's no way in hell they'll EVER meet that deadline.

I'm all for greener tech but geeze people have got to have some realistic expectations. FO8gpD1VQAUs4fE.jpeg.jpg

It's not greener anyway. It just means we'll burn more coal which is the biggest part of green house emissions. The rare earth mineral market is controlled by China, so they will be manufacturing the batteries. So we'll be making our enemies stronger and the politicians who are pushing it as well as invested in it richer.
So are they political leaders who want whats best for the American people or salespeople with their own self-interest in mind?

Who's going to recycle the battery when it's depleted in a decade?

Bet the resale value of an electric car will fall off a cliff after its first few years on the road. Nobody will want to pay a lot for a used electric car that will need a $10k battery replacement in the 2 or 3 years after purchase.

The rare earth minerals are for the motors. But there are 3 types of motors, and only one requires rare earth minerals.

From what I've seeing so far, it is more to save on gas, than to be "green" for people, who are buying EVs.
