Isn't that what a lot of LTL companies are doing with their dock-to-driver programs? I don't see how different it would be with Walmart.

So you are saying the average retail worker can’t be trained to drive a truck?
i can hardly believe you said that!truckdriver31 and Last Call Thank this. -
How is this any different than what most ltl and package companies already do?

Well.......It was a risk I was willing to take from my observations when I stop at their stores.. I know I went out on a limb by saying that.. but I chanced it anyhowOxbow, truckdriver31, shooter19802003 and 1 other person Thank this.

For the Walmart and their strict policies that 80 year old is just right)
PS: there are more workers than 80 year olds in the company. Guys pulling carts from the lot from my guesstimate would be interested.truckdriver31 Thanks this. -
Great pay, benefits, no rush, new equipment, paid school.. why not?truckdriver31 Thanks this.

I would consider applying for Walmart but I can't stand the idea of wearing a uniform.
truckdriver31 and shooter19802003 Thank this. -
Jumping from 40 to 100k a year would not be a big issue with uniform, I think for most.truckdriver31 Thanks this.
