Waiting on New Trucks thread.

Well truck has been signed for and still waiting on EPU to be installed. It was being shipped and hope to see it now by first of the week. Truck is scheduled to get it installed starting Wednesday. Once installed I will need to do a few things on truck and hopefully will be ready on the Monday after this to take it out on its first job. Will take some more pictures once I get it.

 

Glad to hear your finally making real progress. What apu did you go with?

Talked to my sales-dweeb today. I have a date! October 24. That’ll make it about 11 months from ordering.

I guess I better get a new DPF coming, she’s not going to last that long.....

 

What did you end up ordering?

 

T680/Paccar/EPU with some bells and whistles. Automatic (he says, hanging his head in shame).

 

Ha Ha no shame in my game. I love my Automatic!

 

After calling about 30 Peterbilt dealers back in Nov/Dec for a Cummins build slot I finally found one for April. Put in the order for a 389 with a Cummins set to be done April 1st and it just finished April 4. Two weeks after the first order I called and ordered a 2nd one for July build slot. Fingers crossed the 2nd truck doesn’t have any delays either.

A few weeks ago I got a call from sales and they said there would be a $5000 increase for anything invoiced after April 1. Luckily they never applied the increase.

 

Just a heads up for the Volvo buying people. Dealer told me today that they have another raise starting today. It is up another $3500 and is up a total of about $7k since the beginning of this year.

 

Volvo better pray that market stays up, otherwise their dealerships gonna be full again with 20% off discount trucks
