I paid $450, I believe. But it might be the last time I paid that. LOL

Yep, you heard it right, once you go with Michelin on steers there is no way back to a Good Year :D

It's all oil, as long as it has mfr's specs

Why are you paying taxes? You're exempt.

You have to be a motor carrier based in NE or leased to a carrier based in NE to get your exemption number for sales tax.

You can do whatever you want, you'll be fine. Just have to find the oil your truck likes and I would suggest the oil analysis. It helps stay on top of things.

Doing your own oil change and lube on equipment is the easiest way to save money that I can think of. I would never pay somebody $500 or more to service my truck. I wouldn't pay anyone to do it at all.

To buy oil and filters ~$200 plus need place to do it, plus mess. Pay TA or Supp Bros $300-$350, minus mess and aggravation. Lube? Yes, lube is easy and gives an opportunity to look everywhere while doing it. Personally "saving" few bux once in ~two month by self performed oil change over paying shop.. I'll stick with no mess.

Saving money.. Replace a shock ~120 quote at TA, myself 10 minute lazy job. Replace chamber ~150, adjuster ~150, wipers ~20, bulb ~25, alternator ~250, AC pump ~500, starter ~600+ and so on.. those type of things can be performed easy and with no mess)

It's not for everyone. Not everyone has the space. But before inflation, I was paying $128 for oil and filter. Twenty minutes to change it. My wife would haul the old oil to the local parts house on her way to get groceries. It's hard to beat if you can situate it like that.

A good drain pan goes a long ways to making it easier. Mine is 15 gallon with a pump. Drain oil, refill, pump old oil right back into the jugs. Whopping $200 for the pan, and I've always wanted one anyway.

Look into an oil burner for the garage/shop.

No argument about anything mentioned, 130 bux is yes, not much and nice if there is place to do it and wife hauling mess away :D

PS: before inflation there were a lot of things to remember with a satisfactorial smile)

One day!! But not here. My "shop" is a 3-car garage you can't even fit a pickup in, and I just pretend it's a shop. Really it's just where my tools and stuff go. I do 99% of my work outside. I even do all my welding outside unless it's too windy. Luckily it doesn't get very cold where I'm at.
