OK I apologize then as I was taking your words the wrong way. I understand your point and you have the option of getting and reporting your own IFTA here..They still are required to get the mileage from you. Also, my posts on here were only to show that this is a good company so far, been here 9 mos and have friends that have been here a few years that I have drove with at other companies, they also do well.

Does it have can locks? Why will it have new main beams?
-
No can locks. Does have winches on both sides, tire inflation system. Spread can slide closed to make California and Canada Legal. Has some gray paint dripped on it.
It is getting new main beams as we speak because, I noticed a very small stress crack where one of the bottom bolts runs up through the suspension into the bottom of the frame. Located on the driver front axle side.
The authorized Reitnouer repair shop seemed very surprised took pictures and sent in for a warranty claim. It looks like the hole for the bolt wasnt drilled straight or not drilled correctly and someone just forced the bolt in to the hole.
Reitnouer gave me this big apology and told me they were embarrassed and would replace the main beam. I get a call from the shop a couple days later saying they are also going to replace the other side beam, because they want to make sure there arent any other issues. This is the short version.
I will say their customer service is excellent. The only thing I did was take it to the shop. They did everything else. This is probably easily a 20,000 dollar repair.
This trailer will be good as new once done. Make an offer.fortycalglock Thanks this. -
ALSO -- Greentree Transportation, out of Pittsburgh, PA. They are part of the same organization as American Transport, but having been with them
almost 5 years, Greentree is one of the best companies we've ever leased
with. Unlike American, Greentree pays your fuel tax for you. They also offer many incentives American does not, ie, savings bonds for clean roadside inspections, for longevity bonuses, for safe Driving bonuses, etc. AND you can still lease a trailer through American, yet lease to Greentree, since they're both under the TII umbrella of companies. ALL O/O's -- no company drivers. Settlements are the most responsive & trustworthy
you could ask for.
I can't say enough good things about Greentree, I had NO complaints
about them at all. -
what is wrong with having plate money or your own plate before you sign on.That would show a little responsibilty on your part,Heck it used to be you needed plates insurance permits and cash money to be able to lease on because some companies only paid every two weeks and held the first two weeks back kind of like an escrow today so you had to be able to run a month with no income if it were still that way we would have very few owner operators but the ones that remain would do very well in my opinion
SL3406 Thanks this. -
