I forgot if you have truck with you now but if you can park it on hill where cap is over the down hill side of tank and after it has sat for the weekend on hill use a hose to start fuel dumping in a clean bucket a you will be able to find out what water and trash is in the bottom of both tanks and be surprised to see the water an plastic trash in 5 gallon bucket from both tanks?

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

That might be your problem. You should only have one 1R-0749. That’s a 2 micron filter. The other should be a water separator cartridge. I use 256-8753 on mine.

These guys discovered this a while ago and it’s been addressed. It’s correct now.

FIFY, I don't think they need a Dyno, they need a real mechanic. Very few left

Awesome. I’d have them put the prime pump under the microscope. Every Cat I’ve ever owned has drawn air through there at some point. Either from not being screwed down tight, or time for a new one.

I’ve added a new primer pump and filter housing during this ordeal as well.

Ok, I’d pull the return line off the filter housing and run it into a bucket to see if the fuel is coming back aerated. I don’t know if you put a fuel transfer pump on it, but even if you did I’d still check it. Quality control isn’t what it used to be.

Did they check the fuel pressure at the filter head? I’ve had problems with bad bypass valves in the past. A new one hasn’t always been a cure. That’s specifically why I mentioned quality control.
