um...is it chrome shop or collision center? seems to be 2 different places, both K&L...both in florence. just different addresses and phone numbers...

 

that's what i thought too. but most won't even think about touching it. peterbilt in joplin is the only 1 so far that said they would, just that it would probably be pretty expensive by the time they sand down the body to repaint everything to match and possibly have to do body work if anything is damaged...

 

the guy i talked to was honest with me, which is a nice change of pace in this business! he said for what i was looking at doing, plus potential body damage discovered along the way, i would be looking at close to 200 hours of labor, let alone parts. at 125/hour, that's out of my budget. he did say the discount a good amount, because they know no one would pay that much. and he said it would be a few months for completion...

he gave me an example of someone bringing in a '00 379 for a paint job, expecting to pay around 25k for paint and some other work, ended up having to pay 100k due to body rust damage after they stripped the paint...
