The school I went to in the Dallas area is about $4,200 now, which is $1,000 more than I spent about 8 months ago. They went up after ELDT.
What are the most affordable schools in the country?

The guy who paid $1,200 at some fly by night school can get the same job as the guy who paid $6,000+ or whatever they are charging these days.Last edited: Apr 13, 2022

CDL school is NOT like Harvard or Yale. CDL school doesn't set you into some exclusive network of alumni that can protect you from real life. It's only 3 weeks and every company makes you ride with a trainer for months after CDL school. EVERY CDL school will find someone to lend you money to pay for school. If trucking doesn't pay you at least $300 per month more than you are making before CDL school don't go to CDL school. Sine 90% of the CDL school students leave the industry in the first 12 months it's not worth much effort to pick one school or another.
You ought to pick the company to work for before you even look at CDL schools. The company may have their own school, only hire from certain CDL schools, or have a dock-to-driver program without school.CoachGKJ and SmoothBore Thank this.
