So they think they found an issue with the pickup tube, fixed it and pressure is holding. However, it’s still starting rough after sitting overnight. It’s determined that it’s losing prime when it sits for many hours. He said there’s a fuel pressure check valve behind that head that could be causing this, so one was ordered and will be replaced on Monday. He also said there’s a remote possibility there’s an injector O-Ring problem, but the truck runs too good for that to be the case, but possible.

Good news. Hopefully it's an easy fix on why it's losing prime.

Good timing! I’m headed to pick it up at 4. They called and said the check value was put on yesterday, it started fine all day. They let it sit overnight and it fired right up this morning! She’s ready to go!!

I can’t make this stuff up, guys! I went to get truck, drove nearly 15 miles, pressure was great the entire way. I was about 2 miles from my lot, smelled diesel in the cab. I happened to look at gauge and it was much lower than it was when I got in. Got to lot, backed into spot and then…….

That seems to be a reasonable explanation on why you had problems. Keep us informed on if that did in dead fix the issue. Seems to be a rare case on something like that happening. Glad you are up and running again.

After my inframe, the check valve was bad. Unless it got dirt in it or something, just a coincidence. I rarely believe in coincidences. But they do happen. The occasional bad part or bad timing does happen. Really screws things up, When diagnosing a problem.

    #### man that just sucks. Is it the fuel housing? Mine cracked and fuel was everywhere just like that. I had that happen to me on my last truck a few months ago. It was a hard part to find as well. Or maybe it is just the fuel filter blown off?
