When I got dispatched a second load(5 and 6ft diam) I stopped at a tire shop and picked up 5 junk tires on my way to the shippers. I then dropped them off at a tire shop after unloading. It cost $10 to dispose of them.God prefers Diesels, Ruthless, cke and 7 others Thank this.

Well, was out due to surgery (6 #### weeks) and was able to run my first loads this week.
Couple local ones to scrap yard lol. That sucked but actually paid well, no flat tires, no pics, and I didn’t have to kick the dudes ### who blasted his train horns at me when I stopped to move some loose twisted rebar in front of me after a friendly little conversation about his last day alive on this earth.
This one here is a gas station awning and signs. Looks quite cobbled together but the shipper was pretty #### methodical and we worked out where certain things should go. Overall less than 35k. Chains and straps. After looking at the pic I added some more because I just wasn’t happy with it. Riding really well on securement checks.

What is red dyed fuel?God prefers Diesels, cke, Oxbow and 3 others Thank this.
-
Fuel that is sold for off road purposes only and therefore is not taxed.. So it's like a dollar or more cheaper at the pump.. Some states sell it at the truckstops, like Montana for example.stwik, God prefers Diesels, Kyle G. and 6 others Thank this.

Hmm....interesting. Sounds like a good deal
Is that why they dye it though? To be able to detect it. Do you get a fine if you are caught with it in your truck?
God prefers Diesels, Kyle G., JonJon78 and 5 others Thank this. -
Yeah the fines are around like 10k I've heard... Montana they will randomly pull you over to check it so it doesn't just happen at the scales... but yeah that's why they dye it red so u know it's off road diesel... I believe you can run it in reefer trailer but somebody on here that pulls a reefer can confirm that better than me... me personally I wouldn't take the risk of running it in the truck... the money you would save would go right out the door and then some if you get cuaghtWinnyf1, shooter19802003, God prefers Diesels and 7 others Thank this.

I got to help the driver that was taking this load to Los Angeles today at our yard. Pretty ######
I got to see how to use ratchet binders, a bit of where you can hook the straps and chains at....equipment and even building materials like this are different. Got to see different techniques, etc. It was pretty cool....I don't ever mind helping with stuff like this or even watching close up even when I'm not getting paid because I get to learn new things and how everyone does things differently and even things that I've never done before! This was cool.....stretch trailer. I believe it was 73' like this.
