Me personally if I was gonna spend stupid money it’d have to look like this…
or this
the money they’re asking for a new def truck and trailer is just nutty as a squirrel turd!
LameMule, wore out, Oscar the KW and 8 others Thank this. -
how are guys buying the equipment at these high cost planing to recover their investment?
-
Some of the really nice rigs are owned by farmers, trucking company owners, or just folks that have a heavy checking account from smart business. They are generally not someone who took the lease purchase program at roehl. It takes a life of great business to buy the coolest truck at a truck show or build your own. Most of these guys will not loose their rear when rates go down. Guys that are spending that kind of money are not living paycheck to paycheck.

Tall stacks keep the trailer from getting soot all over it so sorta a purpose. Depending on how long they really are not bad up to 290 or 300. Though some 3 point turns are necessary. I’m not a big guy but I know lots of big guys that haul their lady most of the time in a 63” flat top. Though taking mine is past my limit. Scaling really isn’t an issue either they scale like the rest lol. Seriously it’s all in what your used too. And your business model. If I’m not being productive out on the road I’m ridin for the house empty if necessary. If I’m out I’m either truckin, getting ready to truck or sleeping. Creature comforts I don’t really indulge. I’m not so opposed to the DEF as I prefer the early 379 and late 359 to work. The 389 is a nice truck just not for mepete781693, Last Call, shooter19802003 and 4 others Thank this.

It all depends on what you want. My current truck is 280wb and I despise how short it is. I'm constantly cussing it. I just don't have the room I'm used to for overhang.pete781693, wore out and Short Fuse EOD Thank this.

That KW is one sweet machine.Oxbow Thanks this.

Got one customer that buys a new to him truck every 3-5 years and within 2 months he’s asking when we can get it in because it’s to short lol. he hauls a lot of long pipe.
Usually take them to around 320 although I think we did one at 350 but it was apparently a tad to long.shooter19802003 Thanks this. -
That's the 2nd most offensive thing somebody can do to a truck .. is paint stuff that's supposed to shine like a diamond in a goat's ###.. everytime I see a hood that somebody painted the grill surround it just pisses me off then the Ftards that think a blacked out truck is cool.. they need whipped from sunrise to sunset for a week then dip them in a bucket of tar and see how cool they look
I have mixed feelings about painted tanks.. I've seen some I like .. and then some I just shake my head and wonder WTF ..
ME... I gota roll with 13' 4" miter cut stacks.. on 270 or 280" WB.. it pisses me off if I got kitty liter stains on my trailer.. and I don't want the critters in the wagon getting smokers cough
I'am a firm believer in letting the customer smoke their meat the way they like itLast edited by a moderator: Apr 16, 2022

My little 85 standard hood that I wrecked. I was crazy about that one. I wish I could find the pic of it after we put the round hole wheels on it with the small holes.
