Oh ok, you're up for the graveyard shift. Thatll be a quick 1600 miles if they reload you outta Palmyra. I'm headed to Longmont. Travis goofed and I have to sit on it til Wed night, but ill get paid layover. I got to the yard and did a break there. I ended up having to do a favor. I had a driver ride with me to recover a truck in Boonville. The driver that left the truck in Boonville pissed dirty. I had to grab an empty from St. James Walmart to take to Midwest, then run to Boonville to drop him off. I got off to a late start today since I got to the yard at 0230 this morning. I'm now in the camera club yay! Lol

I'll never understand how somebody doesn't value their job enough to stay the hell away from stuff that'll make you lose it. But I guess some people just get caught up. And yeah my load didn't get finished till 9:30 tonight. I did not get a split while I was there so I'd left there was like 7 hours available. Still qualifies as the graveyard shift though I guess.

I totally get how someone doesn't think about their job and gets caught dirty. As y'all know I have gone down that road. Its been almost 11 years since it happened and it still haunts me to this day. This month makes 10 years clean for me. That type of addiction alters every single thing in a person's life. The scariest thing about habitual use of drugs is that false sense of invincibility. You never think about what you can lose. Chasing that high becomes pretty much an obsession once it becomes a habit, and it makes people do stupid things. I won't judge that driver, mainly because I'm not one to judge, but also people have different obstacles to overcome. My hope for that driver is that he gets help(if he needs help), or just wipe the slate clean, and re-dedicate himself to life and try to do better. It's the longest road ever, but it definitely can be done. With those 7 hrs you'll make it somewhere in Ohio won't you? I ended up at my usual spot in Salina. I'll probably finish it off tomorrow and show up at McLane just to try my luck. I'm going to play the role of dumb driver that got his dates mixed up. Maybe I can charm them into an early unload. It's a no lose situation, but I'd sure rather get this off if possible.

Yeah I didn't mean to come off with the intention of sounding judgemental. Lord knows I've done some dumb s*** in my life. I quit drugs when I learned how to drive but I've been drunk before and done them since. Like I said people get caught up. Anyway I made it to the rest area there at London Ohio. I still had like a half hour left but I wasn't going to make it to the other side of Columbus to anywhere so now anyway. Already got my reload info out of Palmyra don't like 18,000 lb coming back to Edwardsville.

You know I was Impressed! They set up some kind of water trough and just washed them out into a tray that funnels them on. Then I got sent 200 Miles further south to Okeechobee to get 20 tons of cabbage for Bailey's. I made it back as far as the new Loves at xit 117, Hillsboro Tn.

Well i managed to make it back to smithton pa. Seen some light snow an rain on the way out. They had quite a bit of snow on the ground around somerset. So much for my clean an shiny truck. Won't make it to edwardsville till around 2 AM Thursday. Not having any miles to start the week with really hurt this week. Ill have the dead head from bowling green mo to edwardsville. I haven't figured it out yet but going home was quite a bit outta route this past weekend i would imagine.

I replied to this but it didn't post right. Anyhow hope ya got mclane off early. I sitting waiting for 10 hr break to be over. Woke up an can't sleep. Running at night can mess with the ability to sleep i think. Will have to do a ten hr break once i drop at Midwest dc. Won't have enough time left to do much anyways so i hope they come up with a good run for friday that i can take off by 15:00 on Thursday with. I wonder if the weekend will somehow correct my schedule a little. Not that there is a correct or incorrect schedule out here.
