I'm picking up in Oroville Thursday from out towards Seattle. Looks like taking 283 to 17, then on up to Oroville wouldn't be bad.
Is there a better route?
Oroville, WA from 90

If your coming from Seattle I would take 90 east and take 97 north to Oroville
Big Road Skateboard and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
Can also take i90 to the i405 to the wa522 , pickup us2 east and take that to us97 north... like 15 miles shorter but more mountains, although a fun drive... don't take the wa520 bridge in Seattle. It's a toll bridge... stay on 90 to the 405.... Or just go 90 to us97 north. That's the easiest way... wanna save a couple miles that way, take 90 to cle elum and pick up wa903/10 to wa970 to us97... all routes mentioned are truck routes other than if you mistake us97 and the us97 alt route.. There is a low bridge just north of Sunnyslope on the alt route. Stay on us2/97

Thanks guys. I thought 97 looked rough till I zoomed in. Pretty good road there.
If I get unloaded early, I might take that scenic route. That's right up my alley.D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
which direction you headed once you get loaded?

MA. Way outside my comfort range, but I was tempted by that dime store freight.D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

dang ! thats one heck of a trip. looks like your best bet is 97 south to wa155 to wa174 to us2... ive never taken 155 before so i cant say what its like.. if you dont wanna go that way then you can drop down to wa17 to wa174.. i have been that way before.. its a bit slow going because its farm land and small towns and some mountains/winding roads, but its not horrible... follow us2 all the way thru airway heights, it eventually merges onto i90... not much for fuel/parking up north in that part of washington, so i would fuel up somewhere, either in seattle or if you go down 90 to 97 , there is a loves and pilot/FJ in ellensburg...although its going to be super expensive.. but just top off enough to make it to spokane (after getting loaded), keep going over the border to post falls idaho(25 miles) and that would be your cheapest fuel option and even cheaper is going to be in missoula.. which is about 180 miles east of spokane...Last edited: Apr 19, 2022

Coming out of Oroville to MA, you’ll have a more direct route if you make your way to 90 and take it across.goga, Big Road Skateboard and D.Tibbitt Thank this.
