I'm sure it's been asked here several times but I'm just not finding it....

Applying for my own authority and looking for cargo/equipment insurance. Have contacted Great West and they're supposed to be getting back to me, but I was wondering if anyone had other companies that I could look at?

The LLC has a registered agent in MS, for the cheaper rates while I'm in TN.

I thought about progressive but they were higher even than state farm for my auto insurance

My first year authority. 1 mil liability and 100k cargo progressive is around 17k for me.. It's worth getting a quote from whoever you can.

Checkout milepost insurance they are part of Berkshire Hathaway. I got a pretty high quote from them compared to progressive, but u can get a free quote online thru them

For new authorities it's usually only Progressive.
Worst that can happen is too high

Don’t mean to Hijack this post but I figured this was the closest topic to what I have to ask. I’m in the process of going O/o and getting my own authority. I recently paid $25 to get my BOC-3 cert, I also registered my business with the state of NJ where I live and not too soon afterwards I received an email from the processing agent for NJ saying he received paperwork from Nj Div of Rev and that in order for him to receive / forward to me I would need to send him $175 which is an annual fee for him to process paperwork on my behalf. I thought the $25 I paid for the BOC-3 was it. Is this normal or is this dude trying to take advantage because I’m a newly formed business? Any info would be much appreciated. Sorry again if I hijacked this post.
