Hey everyone, the hill holder on my truck is not working and I found these fault codes SID-94 and SPN-2622. The codes are constant, any idea what I should look for?

I'm gonna see how close I am.

I suspect this is going to be a software issue. I would think there is some mechanical functions involved but its brakes. If your brakes are working properly, then its a software issue. If that's the case, you'll need to take it to a shop & let them repair the issue within the software.

We'll hear from some real mechanics before long I hope.

HSA should be combined with the ABS

ABS and brakes are working fine. Hill Hold doesn't respond to any button actions.

This explains a little about how the system works. Usually there's an FMI with the SPN to help narrow down where to start, but I've never had to deal with this code. As long as the brake system works properly, I wouldn't dig too much into it if it were my truck. It's like driving without cruise control, it might be annoying, but you can still run the truck without it.

If I felt like I had to look into it, I'd start with the hill start assist solenoid.

Test the wires before changing the part. There should be one from the ABS, and another to a common ground on that connector. If you think the part is the issue, make sure you get the correct part number for your vehicle from the dealer. If you want more specific guidance, go to the Volvo media site and search for "hill start" documents that apply to your truck.

    vanostav61 Thanks this.
