Update: 5,650 or so miles and it gave me a derate in 3 hours message. Fortunately I’m home and empty and was already planning on going to my dealer to change some parameters in the software. Hoping it’s a hiccup. Has anyone else had this message pop up around the same mileage? Cummins ISX Productivity series 565/1850.
*Edit* I’m being told truck stop fuel pump DEF may be the reason I’m getting that message in relation to the emissions system. It was doing an active regen for not even two minutes, it stopped, and poof the message popped up.Last edited: Apr 24, 2022
Blue jeans, Vampire, D.Tibbitt and 3 others Thank this. -
Surely the def from the pump is not the problem. Might be a sensor bad already or something else wrong with the system. I would not put much stock in saying that the Def pump was the problem unless it was a mom and pop place that was sketchy.

You can buy test strips to check that the DEF urea/water ratio is correct.
Vampire, Big Road Skateboard, OhNoTerry and 2 others Thank this. -
Good to know, might have to dabble into that.
