Fuel surcharge FSC is updated but it is weeks behind current prices. Some guys are playing with so little cushion they can go broke before the extra money comes in.

Ok, then I can only assume that the fuel surcharge and rate per mile hasn't increased with the current market

Rate per mile has not changed while O/Os get 100% of the FSC. Still not good IMHO, since rates haven't increased.

Leasing trucks to drivers is all about shifting costs from the trucking company to someone else.

Who said I was leasing my truck from the carrier? It's my truck and I have a lease contract with the carrier.

And it probably won't until they start loosing owner operators, and can get any.

It depends on the geographic region where I'm running. It can always changing.

Oh, never heard of that. Where I'm at, it's the same regardless of what region. Currently .70

You're probably right. I thought it "blended" the rates to be the same across all regions but if you run more in a specific region, you're at a disadvantage.JonJon78 Thanks this.
